The boys and girls in Miss Cullen's class had a fantastic time during World Around Us Wednesday, where learning comes to life through a carousel of engaging activities.
The children explored a variety of hands-on tasks linked to their topic 'Food Glorious Food', making connections across different areas of the curriculum. They estimated and measured the weight of classroom objects, practised using commas in a list of their favourite foods on Just2Easy, learned about the life cycle of a plant as they planted seeds and completed a Sequencing Frame, and sorted food into whether it comes from a plant or animal. Each station encouraged curiosity, teamwork, and active learning.
This cross-curricular approach allows pupils to develop a deeper understanding by linking subjects together, building skills in Literacy, Numeracy, and ICT.
