Holy Child Primary School, Derry

Using ICT

At Holy Child P.S. we believe that digital technology is an essential part of our lives and future. It is also a powerful resource which can enhance and transform teaching and learning. Using ICT is one of the three Cross-Curricular Skills at the heart of the curriculum. Developing children’s digital skills encourages them to handle and communicate information, solve problems, pose questions and be creative in using digital technology.

Children have lots of opportunities to develop their digital skills through a variety of unplugged and plugged activities, using iPads, laptops and computer desktops. We aim for all our pupils to leave Holy Child P.S. with the knowledge, skills and qualities that will make them responsible digital citizens, digital workers and digital makers.
