School Council Elections ⚖️👩‍⚖️👨‍⚖️

15th Sep 2025

Today we have been celebrating National Democracy Day by holding our very own school Council Elections. Our pupils have been learning about the importance of having a voice, listening to others and how democracy helps everyone to take part in making decisions. Children who wanted to stand for School Council prepared speeches and shared their ideas with their classmates, explaining why they would make a great representative. Children then took part in a secret ballot, just like the real elections, before counting the votes to choose their council members.

We are so proud of all the pupils who put themselves forward, it takes courage to share your ideas in front of others.

Congratulations to our newly elected councillors, who will be working hard this year to represent their classmates and help make our school an even better place.
