We had a fantastic morning in Holy Child Nursery Unit today 😊 as part of our ongoing topic, People Who Help Us 👩⚕️👨🚒
We were delighted to welcome one of our nursery mums, Mary, who works as a theatre nurse 🏥. Mary came in dressed in her uniform and spoke to the children about her important role. She shared pictures showing the journey through the hospital—from arriving for surgery right through to leaving 🛏️➡️🚪—and gave the children a glimpse inside the operating theatre.
She also showed photos of patients visiting for surgery and X-rays 🩻, helping to make the experience relatable and reassuring 💙
The children were full of curiosity 🤔, asking thoughtful questions and thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to explore, look, and have a go using some of the equipment 🩺
