Children from Primary One to Primary Seven took part in a variety of exciting maths-themed challenges that combined numeracy skills with physical activity, estimation and friendly competition. Throughout the day, children rotated around different activity stations where they used counting, timing, estimating and measuring skills while having lots of mayhem filled fun. Challenges included: How many baskets can you score in one minute? How many penalties can you score in a minute? How many star jumps can you complete in one minute? How many skips can you do in a minute? Who could fill a 2- litre bottle of water the fastest? Can you guess how many sweets are in the jar? It was wonderful to see children encouraging one another, and enjoying active maths learning together.
