Our weekly Forest School visit brings together our P1 and P7 children as part of the Acorns and Oaks group, creating a wonderful opportunity for collaboration and shared learning. Using the That’s Not My… series as inspiration, the children worked together to create their own imaginative versions of the stories. They chose different animals and explored the forest using their senses, searching for a variety of textures and colours to represent different parts of each creature’s body. From rough bark and smooth leaves to soft moss and vibrant petals, the outdoor environment provided rich, hands-on experiences that encouraged creativity, teamwork, and a deeper connection with nature.
