This week in P5B we became scientists and engineers! Working in small groups, we designed and built boats in different sizes and shapes to investigate which one could hold the most coins before sinking.
We discussed how scientists plan a fair test, the independent/dependent variables in our experiment and reasons why the boats may float or sink. The children had a data collection sheet to record their findings and they used an IPad to capture/video their observations.
P5B showed fantastic teamwork, problem-solving and scientific thinking throughout the investigation. Well done everyone! 👏🔬
