This week ends the six week Shared Education programme our Primary 6 children took part in with children from Ebrington Primary School. The children meet together for weekly sessions that helped the pupils build meaningful connections over time. Throughout the programme, the children explored both the similarities that link our two schools and the differences that make each community unique. Through discussion, games, and collaborative tasks, they learned about one another’s traditions, experiences, and perspectives. A key part of the project was an art-based unit on managing conflict, where the pupils used creativity to express positive ways to communicate, cooperate, and resolve disagreements. As the weeks went on, the sessions also gave everyone steady opportunities to chat, work side by side, and simply get to know each other better, strengthening friendships and understanding between the two schools.
