Primary 6 have also been developing their spelling and vocabulary skills by learning about prefixes and suffixes. The class began with a “root word” and worked together to explore how adding different prefixes or suffixes could change its meaning. As a team, they created a growing list of new words, discussing how each prefix or suffix altered the word and when it might be used. This activity not only helped them expand their spelling strategies, but also encouraged collaboration, problem-solving, and plenty of lively discussion about language.
