Pirate Day in P3a

1st Apr 2026

The boys and girls in Miss Cullen's class had a fantastic time celebrating their Pirate Day, marking the end of their WAU theme, “Splish Splash Pirates.” The day was packed with fun and creativity, with children taking part in a range of exciting activities including pirate-themed art, games, and even a thrilling treasure hunt. There was great excitement as pupils enjoyed a bouncy castle, got into character with pirate tattoos, and were amazed by balloon modelling creations.

As part of the day, the children also visited Creggan Library where Deirdre read lovely stories, sparking their imaginations even further. The celebrations finished on a high note with a Paired Reading Pirate Picnic, where parents joined their children to share stories together in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

It was a wonderful way to celebrate all their learning, and a memorable day was had by all!
