Primary 5 have been busy developing their understanding of mass and weight through a hands-on practical lesson.
As part of our learning, we explored how mass is measured in grams (g) and kilograms (kg). Before measuring, pupils carefully estimated the weight of our ingredients, comparing the ingredients in their hands and predicting which would be heavier or lighter.
After making their estimates, pupils used weighing scales to measure the actual mass of each ingredient.
To put their learning into practice, pupils collaboratively made some Rice Krispie buns!
